This is why America is Doomed
Ok, so here is the story. During the senatorial primaries where the Democrats and the Republicans vote to see who gets to run for senator of the great state of South Carolina. As you guys know only one senator comes up for election at a time. This time, the incumbent, Jim Demint, a republican, is up for election. Demint wins his primary easily. The interesting part is the democratic primary.
Two guys run in the Democratic primary. One is a politician, Vic Rawl. He was a judge, a member of the house of representatives, and a member of the county council. Whatever. Typical lifetime politician. The other is Alvin Greene. Alvin is 32 years old. He graduated college with a degree in political science, and joined the army and left after 13 years in 2009 and has been unemployed. He currently lives with his father. There are a few other things, like he’s got felony charges pending against him, but none of that really matters.
Alvin ran for senator and did not campaign. He did not go to the meetings. He didn’t have any press conferences. He didn’t even try to win the race. But he won anyway. He got 100,053 votes and Vic Rawl got 69,645 votes.
How did a guy who didn’t even campaign, who wasn’t even known to the people who voted for him win a freaking election???? 100,053 people voted for this guy.
This is why America is doomed. People elected a guy who they never even heard of. Over 100,000 people actually chose this man to be their senator. They have no idea who this guy is. They don’t know his positions. This is the Senate people! The state only has 2 senators! This is a powerful position!
Why did they do it? One article I read says it was because his name was first on the ballot, or because “Vic Rawl had money, but he didn’t have enough. He wasn’t able to identify himself with black voters,” Ford said. “No white folks have an ‘e’ on the end of Green. The blacks after they left the plantation couldn’t spell, and they threw an ‘e’ on the end.”

It’s disappointing that it is this easy to destroy America. It’s too late. Most people don’t even vote and the ones who do vote are nothing but sheeps and cows. They vote for a guy who they never even heard of just because his name is first on the ballot or they think he must be black because of his last name.
It’s over folks.
Favorite George W. Bush Video
This is the video where G. W. Bush admits that he abandoned free market principles.
I think it says a lot about the Republicans and proves my point that they are not to be trusted. Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans are to be trusted.
You can’t abandon free market principles and say you are a free market capitalist. It doesn’t work that way. It is tantamount to admitting that free market principles do not work. It is a fundamental belief. What did he abandon his principles for? Socialism of course. It’s as if he said to himself, “Well, free market principles failed, so let’s try Socialism.” You would never hear a Socialist say, “Well, Socialism failed in this case, let’s try the free market.”
Why should I help pay for your home, car, or appliance?
There is the “First Time Home Buyer’s” tax credit for $8,000. Or $6,500 for repeat home buyers.
http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=204672,00.html
There was the “Cash for Clunkers” program which gave new cash buyers up to $4,500 towards the purchase of a new car.
Now there is the cash for clunker appliances rebate program which gives new appliance buyers up to $75 towards the purchase of new appliances.
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2010-02-23-energyrebates23_ST_N.htm
Where does the money for these programs come from? It comes from tax payers like me.
I really don’t want to help people pay for their new home, car, or appliance. The government takes my money, by force. If I don’t pay my taxes the government will prosecute me and potentially put me in prison, this is what I mean by force. I have no say in what the people who work for the government do with the money they take from me. This is wrong. Why would you take money from me to pay for someone else’s new car? That is evil.
With the huge budget deficit run right now, and the massive national debt you could look at it another way. The government borrows the money to pay for these programs. But they have no plan to ever pay it back. It could be our children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren paying this money back. In essence, the government is borrowing money, in our children’s names, to pay for people’s homes, cars, and appliances today. That is pure evil.
Personally, I am sick of this nonsense. Why should I help pay for your home, car, or appliance?
We can’t blame this on the Democrats only. The new home buyer tax credit deal was originally signed into law by George Bush on July 30, 2008. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Housing_and_Economic_Recovery_Act_of_2008
Both the democrats and the Republicans waste money. It’s long past time to vote them all out.
On Arrogance
As all-important and valuable you think your opinion is, you do not get to define me. You can call me into your office and tell me all about what you think I am, but I am not that. That is only your selfish opinion of me. You may not have any use for me but I am an individual. I am a real human being with real emotions. I exist outside of your realm of consciousness. There is more to me that what you acknowledge. You may be the ruler of your little fiefdom, but I am not your peasant. You do not decide my fate. You are not allowed to define who I am or what my worth is.
My opinion of you does not matter anymore than your opinion of me, but the way you make me feel does. You hurt me. Your arrogance and lack of even one ounce of human compassion hurts people. You may not care about other people’s feelings but they do. You go around like a bull in a china shop, swinging your horns and trampling people. To what end? Why do other people have to suffer so that you may climb the ladder? Why is your fiefdom built on the bodies of the people you have subjected to your will. Why do you leave a path of devastated and hurt people in your wake?
You may never even care. Maybe you will die happy with all your accomplishments. Maybe the hurt and suffering you have caused people will never catch up to you. Maybe your conscience will never bother you and you will sleep well every night. I don’t know, but I wish you the best.
Is Anyone in Washington Trying to Figure Out Who Caused the Financial Crisis?
Is anyone in Washington trying to figure out who caused the financial crisis? When the financial crisis first started happening there were a few people trying to throw blame around, but others were saying, “When your house is on fire you try to put it out, you don’t try to figure out how it happened first.”
Well, it’s been a long time since the crisis started, we’ve bailed out big corporations to the tune of over a trillion dollars and no one is being held responsible. Nor has anything has changed regulatorily.
